Statement

I aim to use traditionally functional household objects, such as rugs, as a mechanism for otherworldly storytelling. I enjoy the challenge of conveying complex emotions with a simple facial expression, and exploring the limitations of translating imagery to fibrous material.

When looking at the world around me, I am typically drawn to the outlines of forms, then the colors within. I find inspiration in medieval marginalia, folk horror, antiquities and oddities, and all living creatures that display a great deal of personality. My desire is for each of my projects to tell a story to the viewer, whether it consists of a singular surface or multiple panels.

Rug Care

Keep rugs in low traffic areas.

Keep away from all hounds, hares, kitty-cats, and other household beasts!

Treat like a sheepskin rug: I recommend spot-cleaning only. To remove debris, hold rug up and gently beat its backside.

Some shedding is natural, but try not to agitate the pile.

Your rug may also be nailed directly into a wall, or hung with velcro/clips!
